#NigeriaDecides2019: Buhari Defeats Atiku In Yola Polling Unit, Also In Obasanjo’s Unit



President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Atiku’s polling unit in Yola, Adamawa State by 186 votes to Atiku’s 167 votes.

Buhari also defeated Atiku in former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s polling unit in Abeokuta North Local Government.

Obasanjo endorsed Atiku in the presidential race.

Buhari also won in his Daura polling unit defeating Mr Abubakar by 523 – 3 votes.

Breaking: Court Sentences Funke Akindele, Husband To 14 Days Community Service. To Pay Fine Of N100, 000 Each

A Magistrate court sitting in Lagos on Monday sentenced Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello a.k.a JJC skills to 14 days community service each. The court also directed them to pay a fine of N100,000 each. The magistrate, who also ordered that they should be placed in self-isolation, added that they must compile the names and phone numbers of everyone who attended Bello’s birthday party and submit same to the court. Uzodinma meets Buhari, seeks refund of N32bn ‘spent on FG roads in Imo’

Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo state, on Thursday met with President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking his intervention in the refund of over N32 billion his predecessors reportedly spent on federal roads in the state. Speaking with state house correspondents after the meeting with Buhari, Uzodinma said Imo is in “financial distress”. He said the funds, if released, will assist in clearing both salary and pension arrears. He said the consultants he engaged discovered that at least N32 billion was spent on federal roads in the past. Uzodinma said he briefed Buhari on the situation of things he met on the ground in the state, adding that the president listened to him. Uzodinma’s predecessors are Achike Udenwa (1999 to 2007), Ikedi Ohakim (2007 to 2011), Rochas Okorocha (2011 to 2019) and Emeka Ihedioha who governed for seven months before the supreme court replaced him.
