Nigeria Decides: APC, PDP lose senatorial election in Buhari’s polling unit



The Katsina North senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmad Baba Kaita was defeated at President Muhammadu Buhari’s polling unit, at the Sarkin Yara Ward A, Kofa Baru polling unit (03), Gidan Niyam in Daura local government area of Katsina state.


The polling unit was won by Accord Party.

Presiding officer, a corp member, Aliyu Abdullahi announced that APC’s candidate, Ahmad Baba Kaita polled 247, Mani Nasarawa (PDP) got 2 and Mohammed Lawal Nalado of the Accord Party 262.

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Wednesday declared Nyesome Wike of the People’s Democratic Party winner of the governorship election in Rivers state.  Wike polled 886,264 votes to beat the candidate of the African Alliance Congress, Biokpomabo Awara who emerged first runner-up.
